Last I heard ('75) of you, you were a electrical contractor in Bellingham, married to Connie, with two children ... but you always were a bad poet!

Jim and Connie moved to Bellingham in the early 70's. I worked with Jim for several years in his electrical contracting business. Jim and Connie divorced in the 80's. Jim would travel to Alaska in the summers to work as an electrician. He stayed with me sometimes as I had moved to Anchorage. He would spend his winter's in a small Mexican fishing village south of PV. Jim knew everyone there and really enjoyed the lifestyle living in a small cabana on the beach.

Jim met his second wife Lorna in Alaska and together they returned to Bellingham to start up his business which they ran together. They had a son Brian who looks exactly like Jim as a young man. Jim died suddenly of a heart attack in his late 40's. He was a gentle person with the soul of an artist. He was a close friend of mine and I  think fondly of him to this day.

Jim was actually 54 when he passed from an enlarged heart.
Lana and I were very close to Jim, Lorna and Brian. We all lived in Bellingham. We purchased view property side by side on Guemes Island. The property was undeveloped and and our two families spent many hours clearing the land and both of our families built cabins that was to be there for us as we built retirement homes on the upper part of the property that had wonderful saltwater views of Guemes channel. We spent most weekends together for many years on Guemes. Jim and I were good buds since age 13. He was a great guy and always a favorite with the ladies. RIP bro. We love you Jimmy D.

I know a piece of your heart died with Jim.  There was never a nicer guy!! I miss him, too.
