John, you never explain what exactly a "Tooling Investigator" is, nor how this profession related to you degree from UW in Fine Arts (ceramics) ... I would have loved to show you some unique Mayan pottery styles I've discovered in Nicaragua.
The last time I saw John was at Boeing in the late 80s. I was a new employee and was so surprised to run into him. I only saw him a couple of times down there before his passing. He was working in the Jig Shop (Area 7 Tool Fabrication) in one of those buildings that used to be on Park Avenue in Renton before the Landing was built.
