In Memory

Joseph Reich

Joseph Reich

Joseph Barton Reich
Joseph Barton Reich was born January 21, 1947 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Esther and George Reich. He was one of nine siblings and his family moved to Renton, Washington in 1957.
Joe graduated from Renton High School in 1965 and served in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He worked as a tool and die maker at Boeing for many years. He loved and owned many classic cars, loved fishing and camping and was an avid reader. He spent many weekends with his family attending Rod runs in his 1932 Ford Sedan.
Joseph was a true character who loved people and loved to laugh. A proud American with a kind soul who loved deeply, dreamed big and didn’t care what anyone else thought. He fought like a prize fighter to the very end and is now racing his cars around the streets of heaven flipping the angel cops the bird on the way by and laughing his head off.
We will miss him and imagine him free and at peace with our Lord. Rest in Eternal peace Dad, we don’t know anyone who deserves it more.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Penny (Travis) Harp, Mary Jo (Paul) Carter all of Enumclaw, WA; Pam (Matt) Johnson of Boston, MA; 7 grandchildren, Dane and Mason Harp, Cade and Julia Carter, Laney, Landon, and Lexi Johnson. He is also survived by his sisters, Judi (Paul Braeger) Auve of Black Diamond, Sondra (Harvey) Larsen of Aberdeen, SD, and Gloria Steinert of Granada Hills, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Esther Reich; sisters, Diane and Jackie; and brothers, Gary, Jon and Jeff.
Military Honors will be held, Monday, February 29, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Service directed by Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley. Please sign the online guest book at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com
