You survived Vietnam ... more than a lot of us ... came back to work at the old PacCar (what a dump), and were in throughbred hourse racing (three horses, no wife and children), so then what happened?

Roy we had some great times in and after high school. You were a great friend and I think of you often.  How you always when asked "how are you" you would reply "it's your world and I'm just living in it".  You are missed by many.  God Bless You, Roy...Rest in Peace.

I know he is already on the list I just would like you to put a flag by his name since he was a Vet.Roy & I had been married 24 yrs. & we had a very happy life together with our family & friends. We did volunteer work feeding the homeless & he loved doing it because so many were Viet Nam Vets. Roy was a very kind & loving man & he loved the Lord, going salmon fishing in Puget Sound & of course Throughbred Horse Racing.

Roy was a 'good guy' with a great sense humor. The Lake Sammamish picnic 'RHS65' BA at our 20th reunion by Bill Griffith, Bill Trimm, Danny Dedo, yours truly, and Jerry Hudson was in honor of Roy. The story, as told to me, was that Roy 'saluted' the Renton towns' people for blocks and blocks on the way to RHS from the back of a school bus with his classmates blocking the view from the bus driver. At one of our annual golf scrambles a few years ago, Ron Colston, from the top of one front fairways, yelled down, 'Hey Chapman, look at this. This is for Bowren'. And there Ron was, in front of God and everyone. The club house was a buzz. What colorful, wonderful classmates.

My husband also died a few years ago from Agent Orange, he got a rare form of lymphoma. He was a marine scout sniper. I sympathize with Roy's family.

It's a story I've heard re: other Vietnam "Brothers", too many times.  Alot of us, saw the war take so many of us away.  After all these years, it continues, leaving families with losses that can never be reconciled.  War really does take our very best.  Sooner or later.  Terrance W. It takes my breath away when I think about Roy and all the other young men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. My heart goes out to Roy's wife and family members who have suffered such a great loss. I did not know Roy well, but I do remember seeing him in class and in the hallways---usually with a smile on his face. May God bless his loved ones and give then the comfort and support that's needed.
