In Memory

Jack White

Jack White

It’s with great sadness that this morning Jack passed  away after a bout of cancer.  Many of you will remember that Jack, along with Dick Hansen, were the co-authors of the infamous Northwest Surfer Magazine.  Jack also was the artist who designed the great logo  that was used on the Cedar River Ripple Riders tee and sweat shirts. RIP Jack. You will be sorely missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jack.  He will be truly missed.  My heart goes out to his family.

This makes me so sad. I have some great memories of Jack. He was the sweetest ( and probably the shyest) homecoming date that I ever had. Rest now, my friend.

I developed a close friendship with Jack over the past 10 years. Dan and I would hook up with Jack whenever we were in the Boise area. We had the privilege of being overnight guests at his home and experiencing his unique sports bar. He truly had artistic talent. RIP dear friend...you will be missed.

This makes me so very sad. I am glad Jack and I got to talk at the past few reunions. I saw photos of his amazing bar,  in his home, on Facebook. I hope his relatives in Ellenesburg can take his dog. Prayers for his family. He will be missed.

I believe Jack was on our Renton little league football team and in a photo that included Dennis Scappini, Ted Burkhalter, Steve Pettibone, Eddie Stewart, Brad Graham, Russ Sherrick, Kenny Hovland, Dave Haddad, Jeff Pasco, Roger Grinalds, Mike Coooper, myself, and several others from our class, and '64, and '66. I still cherish my original CRRR t-shirt. Jack Cowan, John's father, passed away two weeks ago and the services were last Saturday. Very traditional and spiritual. Jack was two months short of turning 100. RIP to both Jacks.

It is so  difficult to say good bye to another old friend from RHS 65. Jack was one of a kind. One of the niecest guys I've ever meet. Always looked forward to the reunions to get a chance to talk with him and have him give me a bad time if I wasn't wearing my CRRR hat he gave me many years ago.

Rest in Peace Jack. Until we meet again and I promise I'll wear my CRRR hat. You wlll be truly missed.
